So, yesterday~ all my troubles seemed so far away~ oops, okay...no, no i’m
not gonna ‘sing’ the beatles song. :p
Soooooo, yesterday i was taking a review class on my course, because i
have one absent lately for my college exam. And if i want to pass to the next
level i must understand what i’ve missed before.
After finishing with some conjunctions and discussing a number of a kind
english preparation test that my classmate brought. We shared about other
peoples' habits and what actually strangers think of them. Well, actually it
started because my teacher, Ms. Elry want to move out from her guesthouse
into somewhere in Cempaka Putih.
She wants to move out because there’s many street people (or simply said
as alay lah ya bowk) teasing her, like if she want to hang out with them and she also didn’t have nice relationship with her homemate because they’re so
dirty.
From the chit-chat we started to share what kind of ‘bule’ people
actually do in Indonesia. (well, she shared so many things actually)
So, many ‘bule’ people especially men who comes to Indonesia are only
having two kinds of reason. First, work. And then Indonesian
women. They like Indonesian women because they’re ‘different’ from the most
western women which is Caucasian. But, most of ‘bule’ men who come to Indonesia
just for women they tend not having a serious relationship. Yeah, they only
want to have “fun”. I’m just surprised when I heard that from the person who’s
actually “Bule” too, I mean it’s not that surprised if you heard that from an Indonesian.
Most of western women
didn’t like to have kind of gf-bf relationship with Asian or Indonesian men. Because
most of them think that they’ll not have their “freedom” if they’ve serious
relationship with any kind of asian men. Elry also told that one of her
friends who has been dating a Korean men think that he’s so possessive, it’s so
normal for “bule” to ‘have fun’ until midnight, and those Korean men calling
those Elry’s friend all night long only just make Elry’s friend to go to
her home and follow what he said. I think maybe in any country in Asia, still
men are always above women, even in such country like Korea and Japan. I mean
like, you’re women and you’ve to follow what a men ‘command’ to you especially
if you’re having a relationship with men, neither it’s your bf/husband/dad, IT’S
A MAN ‘COMMAND’ you know what I mean?
And western women think
that they’ve lost their “freedom” to the men if they follow what the men told,
even for god sake it’s also for their own good.
We also shared about Elry & her friends
experience that if ‘Bule’ people going alone without anyone they know in Jakarta
and they meet the police, the police will ask them for money and if they didn’t
give the police money, they’ll be in the jail a few hours later-_-
She also shared kind of
types of ‘Bule’, like don't ever have an interest with Aussie ‘Bule’, because
most of them are ‘Stupid’, neither the girls/boys. The boys actually just
thinking about drinking a lot of alcohol. She meant, even there are many ‘Bule’
who love alcohols, but Aussie ‘bule’ always have it like everyday and after
that they feel they have ‘more power’, that’s why it makes their brain didn’t
work properly. Well, not all of Aussie ‘Bule’ are like that. I think it’s maybe because they’ve that historical facts that long time
ago most of Aussie ‘Bule’ ancestor are the prisoners from England, like you can imagine
prisoners in big land they’ll do all things they want.
She also told me that most
people in big cities like Paris, Venice, and Rome sometimes can be very rude than
what the media has been portraying the whole time. This thing caused many tourists
having bad impression of the country, like people started to think almost French
people are arrogant, while the fact is it’s only the people from Paris. Paris
people even now called themselves as ‘Parisian’ and most of them still think that they’re ‘more
superior’ than other French people in the different area of the country.
As for Venice, she told me that the people in there can easily get angry,
because the fact that their city are having many tourists and they can’t barely
doing anything or going through their city, like "it’s my city why the hell
there’s so many people who didn’t know streets/places but they still go here
and always ask for directions" yet they can’t ‘kicking-out’ the tourists
because the tourists are their city biggest income.
Rome's known for their ‘Mafia Government’ I mean like really mafia. And also because in Rome they have two
biggest constitutions that run the city, the Catholic church and the ‘Mafia Government’. Their government
ruins the city the most because yeah you know mafia things. And that caused
people in Rome also not nice like they seemed to be.
I also meet some other friends
from other classes, and I’m really surprised that one of them can barely
speak French, Spanish, Arabic, Rusia, now he's trying to be more fluent in English.
He spent 2 years to learn those languages, and also a lot of bucks of course.
He told me that he made kind of his daily schedule and like it or not he must
deal with it. Everyday, at the very least he must learn one kind of
grammar/verbs or anything from those languages and discipline with it.
God, I even forgot a few things from Korean verbs
and I just really understand the banmal now :/ I just remembered that when I
was in junior high school I have an interest to learn many languages (and I
still have actually). I started to learn Korean & Japanese, but ends up
forgot every hiragana-katakana I’ve learned because I was so interested in Korean
& Germany too._. I guess I should start to learn everything all over again,
before I start to learn mandarin ㅋㅋㅋ
